Ocean Springs Breakfast with the Mayor

The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Main Street Tourism Bureau, along with its sponsor the Lady May restaurant, hosted their quarterly breakfast with the mayor.

Breakfast with the Mayor serves as an opportunity for local business owners and interested citizens to meet with the mayor of Ocean Springs in an informal setting to learn about the plans and developments for the city.

At the breakfast, Mayor Holloway discussed the success of the Ocean Springs parades last weekend and updates on the parking garage that was signed off by the governor.

He also talked about the excitement of the new Aldi grocery store coming. “You know, everybody seems to like that. I have talked to folks around that moved here from Florida, have shopped in Florida, and they are very complimentary of the service and the type of food that they provide. So, it’s something different and I think that is what we need, something growing really out towards east Ocean Springs. That is where the families are growing, that’s where the population is growing, so they have got a great location.”

The Aldi grocery store will be a 21,000 square foot store located at 3801 Bienville Boulevard on the east side of the city just west of Walmart.
