Ocean Springs Board of Alderman hosting special called meeting tonight

Ocean Springs plans to cancel a contract it has with a vendor to write digital tickets.

The Board of Aldermen have a special called meeting tonight at 5 p.m. to discuss canceling the contract with 60 days written notice.

Chief Mark Dunston said the screen resolution was poor when officers used the system outside.

The department will go back to paper tickets. The city also will consider a resolution to adopt an urban renewal program.
