Ocean Springs baseball alum Garrett Crochet selected to 2024 MLB All-Star roster

The Chicago White Sox said it best, there was never any doubt, but now it’s official! Left-handed pitcher and Ocean Springs alum Garrett Crochet has been named to the 2024 MLB American League All-Star roster!

Garrett Crochet is wheeling and dealing on the mound like a well oiled machine, currently leading the Majors in strikeouts with 146 recorded. He also possesses a 6-6 record, 3.08 ERA, and a whip of 0.97. With those stats and more, he’s ninth in the American league when it comes to ERA, fourth in average, third in OPS, third in WHIP, and was recently named the pitcher of the month for the month of June. He was drafted number 11th overall in the 2020 MLB Draft. 

Crochet will suit up for the All-Star game on July 16th at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
