Ocean Springs attorney Earl Denham passes away

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that Ocean Springs attorney Earl Denham died Tuesday afternoon.

Denham was left in critical condition after an assault in Ocean Springs. He was on the patio at Bridgewater Apartments with his girlfriend when the girlfriend’s ex showed up angry at Denham for the relationship with the woman.

The man allegedly struck Denham while leaning over the railing on the patio.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says Denham’s death remains under investigation. Investigators have requested an autopsy. The case will be presented to a Jackson County Grand Jury.
