Ocean Springs announces new projects

Ocean Springs Road is receiving improvements, that includes a pathway from Highway 90 to Deana Road.

Also being introduced is a roundabout at the Groveland Intersection and a sidewalk along the south side of Highway 90.

A lane closure has started to clear the city’s right-of-way.

The city of Ocean Springs wants to warn drivers about reduced speed limits and lane closures throughout the construction area.

Work is expected to be finished by April 2024.

Another project announced is adding a new roof for the Fort Maurepas stage.

Hopkins Construction has begun blocking off the area around the stage and a portion of the parking lot.

Work is expected to be finished by March 2024.
