Obama Says No Change in ISIS Strategy

World leaders acknowledge that the threat of ISIS is real and the terrorist group does not look like it will back down. So what is the next move for the United States regarding ISIS?
In a press conference Monday, the president said the strategy to fight ISIS will not change, saying that putting U.S. troops on the ground would be a mistake. Many Republicans have been calling for the U.S. to take stronger action to fight the militant terrorist group.
In a phone interview with News 25, Senator Roger Wicker says he agrees more action should be taken but agrees with the president that it should not be American soldiers on the ground. “It should take Arab boots on the ground, I mean the people in the region are completely understanding of the threat that this Islamic state would have to world security. They should be front and center in putting the troops on the ground. We can’t want it more than they do.”
Senator Wicker tells News 25 he believes the leadership would need to come from the United States.
