Oak Street Paving Begins

Crews were out early this morning prepping for at least two days’ worth of laying down asphalt in Biloxi.
Oak Street North of the Railway is closed off while contractors finish paving the bumpy road.

This area in Biloxi took longer because a sewer line needed to be installed 23 feet below ground one of the deepest cuts crews had to make.
News 25 spoke to a local business on Oak Street about their views of the construction.

Employees at Le Bakery say customers find it difficult to maneuver through the detour and construction mess.
However, one resident living right next to the road work tells News 25, it’s all give and take.
