North Gulfport Community Christmas
The North Gulfport community came together at the Isiah Fredericks Community Center for their third annual Christmas event.
Kids had the opportunity to meet and take pictures with Santa Claus. There were hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy for everyone to enjoy. There was also a free coat giveaway courtesy of Edgewater Cleaners.
After meeting Santa, every child received a small gift from Harrison County District Four Supervisor Kent Jones.
In its third year, this event never fails to put everyone, including the adults, in the Christmas spirit. “When those kids come in here and get in Santa Claus’ lap and some are crying because it is their first time because they are one-year-old and then you might have a seven or eight-year-old that’s really having fun. It makes it all worthwhile. Merry Christmas.”
Jones tells News 25 despite the bad weather he knows the children made sure to persuade their parents to attend this event.
