North Gulfport Civic Club holds 23rd annual Community Breakfast

The North Gulfport Civic Club hosted their 23rd annual Community Breakfast Thursday morning!

Community members came together to get to know their elected and appointed officials. One of the main reasons for the breakfast was to address issues in Gulfport.

Second Vice President Dr. Barbara Thomas shares why these events are so important. “We try to do different things that brings the community closer together. We are trying to guide our future generations, our children, in the right direction. We want them to be able to walk up to a police officer and have a friendly conversation. We want them to reach out to the mayor if they have questions for him, as well as other departments in the city and the county.”

The club’s next event is their annual tea on September 29th at the Isiah Fredericks Community Center.
