No Sign of Foul Play in Death of Missing Woman

Authorities have found no signs of trauma or foul play, in the death of a Gulfport woman whose body was found Sunday afternoon in the waters of Old Fort Bayou in Ocean Springs.

28 year old Ashley Condon was reported missing Friday after failing to show up to work at Garden Park Medical Center earlier in the week, on April 15th. Friends say that such behavior was not like her. While police are waiting to make a final ruling on what caused her death, authorities say a note was found inside Condon’s vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot near the Biloxi Bay Bridge — not far from where her body was found. The note has been sent to a crime lab for forensic and handwriting analysis.

The cause of death is pending toxicological and microscopic studies. It could be three to four weeks before a final ruling is made in the cause of Condon’s death.
