No settlement reached on Kemper

No settlement has been reached involving the Kemper County Power plant matter.
Today marks the final day for a settlement. The Public Service Commission expects to take this matter up in executive session following its monthly meeting on Tuesday. Previous orders from the commission advised that any settlement reached should remove risk from ratepayers for any lignite gasifier related assets and alter documentation to allow only for operation of a natural gas facility as well as insuring that no rate increase for Mississippi Power Company customers is implemented.
