Nine arrested in drug search in Hancock County

Nine people from the Kiln are now behind bars following a drug search in Hancock County this morning.

The sheriff’s office narcotics agents executed search warrants at several homes in the 24,000 block of Standard-Dedeaux Road. Agents recovered meth, marijuana, THC concentrate, and distribution supplies and paraphernalia, along with several firearms.

Those arrested are:

• 39-year-old Daniel Talley
• 32-year-old Joseph Sonnier
• 33-year-old Maggan Wilson
• 37-year-old Fred Haulk
• 30-year-old Shirley Jones
• 29-year-old Cecilia Jaynes
• 61-year-old Shirley Rogers
• 25-year-old James Potts
• 27-year-old Brandon Wilson

Based on evidence gathered during the search, an arrest warrant is being issued for 36-year-old Kenneth William Stalter Jr.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges and arrests are expected.
