NFL sets training camp report dates
NFL training camp is apparently ready to roll with teams receiving word Saturday of a July 28th date for all players to report.
Quarterbacks and injured players can report as soon as Thursday with rookies set to report tomorrow.
However, New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees has been one of the most outspoken players about this plan of action, saying “the NFL’s unwillingness to follow the recommendations of their own medical experts will prevent that. If the NFL doesn’t do their part to keep players healthy, there is no football in 2020. It’s that simple. Get it done.”
The league has already closed off training camp to fans, but has yet to agree on any kind of opt-out clause for high risk players as well as what the testing procedures will look like.
