NFL extends virtual offseason until May 29th
The NFL is extending its virtual offseason as a work around to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to ESPN, teams will now be allowed to continue workout programs through May 29th, a two week grace period from the original close date of May 15th.
This will give players extra time to get ready for training camp which always kicks off later in July.
The New Orleans Saints were the first team to forego any kind of virtual regimen by orders of Head Coach Sean Payton, who was the first known NFL figure to contract COVID-19.
