New treatment option available at Memorial Hospital Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Memorial Hospital Gulfport has become the first hospital on the Coast to offer a new treatment option for patients with complex peripheral artery disease.
Dr. Haylie Reed is the surgeon who performed the operation.
Not only is she the first on the Coast, but she’s also the first female surgeon to complete the procedure in the state.
The treatment option is called the detour system, offering an option for patients with long lesions on their femoral artery.
Memorial Hospital says they are proud to bring this technology to the community.
