New superintendent for Gulf Islands National Seashore

The National Park Service announced the selection of a new superintendent of Gulf Islands National Seashore.
Rick Clark will begin his role on Sunday, April 21.
Since 2021, Clark has served as a deputy regional director for the NPS Midwest Region.
He has served 38 years with the National Park Services, also working with the Alaska, Intermountain, Midwest, and Southeast regions.
The park is the nation’s largest seashore, created in 1971 and spanning 160 miles from Cat Island to the Okaloosa area east of Fort Walton Beach.
