New Ricky Mathews book released

Former Sun Herald Publisher and longtime South Mississippi Media Figure Ricky Smith has released a new book, 21 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina.

‘Finding Hope: 25 Lifelines for Life’s Storms” draws from Mathews’ own experiences, including surviving Katrina with his family in their Biloxi Back Bay home.

The book also shares stories of people who overcame addiction, trauma, and other hardships, offering 25 practical lessons for finding purpose and passing hope forward.

“Finding Hope” will be released Saturday, August 29, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Hope quad and Palmer Home for Children.
