New Police Department

It’s an early Christmas present for the Moss Point Police Department as they cut the ribbon on their new building!

The new department is located right on Bellview Avenue, next door to the fire department.
The facility is equipped with a new evidence locker, real armory, real holding cells and a brand new court room.
Lieutenant Henry Bouganim says it’s been a long time coming for the police department.
Mayor Mario King explains it’s a great start to rejuvenate Moss Point and make changes on the old building.

“We want to put a community garden, our pilot program for a community garden and were going to name it after Mr. Memoring Kayak, who is with the old police station was built for so that plaque on the side so we’ll still honor that name.”

Mayor King says it was a great feeling to see all the Aldermen’s and the Moss Point Community with smiles on their faces and everyone coming together.
