New Playground Coming to Hiller Park

A facelift is coming to the Hiller Park Playground.
Ruiz Contracting Solutions has been volunteering its services this week installing new playground equipment for Hiller Park. The new playground will feature everything from slides to play cars.
Biloxi Councilwoman Dixie Newman tells News 25 while out campaigning she discovered not only how much the park meant to the community, but how much it needed an update. She says this week’s installation of a new playground is the end of the long road to beautify a part of the Biloxi community. “I made it my mission to get a new playground. I got immediately with the Parks and Rec director and told her how important it was to us. I got a committee together so they’ve helped me do fundraising events almost every month. Finally it took us almost $50,000 to get this playground.”
Ruiz Contracting Solutions, the IP Casino, Shaggy’s, Sunbelt Equipment Rental and Drex Executive Protection all had a hand in making the playground a reality.
