New Orleans woman charged in death of man found at Carriere home
A New Orleans woman is behind bars, charged in the death of a man found at a home in Carriere.
Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office said 47-year-old Showanda Carter has been charged with murder in the death of 45-year-old Clint Williams. She was taken to the Pearl River County jail.
Williams’s body was found October 30, 2024, to a home in Carriere. An investigation showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds and had been dead about a week when he was discovered.
After establishing a timeline for Williams’ death and evidence found at the scene, investigators identified Carter as the suspect.
She was arrested November 6 without incident and charged in Williams’ death.
