New Orleans Saints select offensive lineman Taliese Fuaga with the 14th overall pick in the NFL Draft

Many wondered what the New Orleans Saints would do with their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

That question has now been answered.

With the 14th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the New Orleans Saints have selected offensive lineman Taliese Fuaga out of Oregon State. Fuaga was a 2023 1st team All-American. He was also selected to the 2023 PAC 12 1st team. Fuaga played in all 12 games in 2023 for Oregon State. The first-round pick earned an 88.2 overall rating by Pro Football Focus – including a 90.9 grade in the run game and a 80.0 grade as a pass blocker.

Both the pass protection game and run blocking game was improved immediately for the Saints following round 1. The organization may not be done beefing up the offensive line as there is still talent on the board at the position heading into day 2 and later rounds of the NFL Draft.
