New Orleans Saints re-sign Jameis Winston

After missing out on their pursuit of Deshaun Watson, the New Orleans Saints are bringing Jameis Winston back to the Big Easy.

As first reported by ESPN, the two parties have agreed to a two-year $28 million deal, including $21 million guaranteed.

The 28-year-old Winston was 5-2 in his first year as a starter with the Saints last season before tearing his left ACL in late October.

The former number one overall pick and Heisman Trophy winner posted a career high passer rating of 102.8 last season, completing 59 percent of his passes for more than 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns with just three picks and a lost fumble.

He also picked up more than 100 yards and a score on the ground.
