New Orleans Saints practicing at Texas Christian University

Just six days away from the first game of the season, the Saints had their first practice at Texas Christian University’s indoor facility while New Orleans continues to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Ida.

The Saints first season opener against the Packers is set to be played Sunday in Jacksonville at TIAA Bank Field.

Head Coach Sean Payton said today in a conference call that he anticipates the team returning to TCU following their game in Jacksonville.

The organization’s time table for going back to New Orleans is still unknown.

In other news, linebacker Kwon Alexander announced yesterday that he’ll play in the regular season opener against Green Bay less than nine months after rupturing his Achilles on Christmas Day last season.

While Alexander was concrete in his belief, the Saints haven’t officially declared him in for the game.
