New Orleans Saints Free Agency Update

Busy week for the New Orleans Saints, some of these free agency updates were already a done deal, but here’s some of the headliners.

Saints retain tight end Juwan Johnson and quarterback Jameis Winston to back up new QB1 Derek Carr.

Some other newcomers, former Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, signing for three years up to $14.5 million, and then former Lions running back Jamaal Williams, signing for three years for $12 million.

Some big names the Black and Gold are losing, David Onyemata to the Falcons, Shy Tuttle to the Panthers, Marcus Davenport to the Vikings, and Andy Dalton to the Panthers.

But back to Williams, he led the NFL with 17 rushing touchdowns last season. “I’ve got a lot going through my mind right now just cause I’m so excited. But it’s just like, I’m so proud to be here. I’m grateful for being here. My hard work and everything I’ve been going through in my life has gotten me to this place right now, and I want to just keep moving forward by working hard and being a great example and just being a great teammate, football player and showing NOLA that y’all picked up the right dude to be in here.”
