New Orleans Saints fall to the Commanders in Week 15 with a final score of 19-20.
The New Orleans Saints welcomed the Washington Commanders to town on Sunday for week 15 action and it all came down to the final second.
The Saints were unable to produce in the first half, but it all started to change in the third quarter when Spencer Rattler pitched it to Cedrick Wilson Jr. who launched it to Alvin Kamara for a 21-yard touchdown putting the Saints on the board 7 to 17.
Groupe hit a 51-yard field goal to inch closer, and now the Saints literally an inch away, and it’s rattler to Moreau for a touchdown, taking all time off the clock, and the Saints want to go for two. Rattler races right looking for Juwan Johnson but it’s no good. The Saints fell to the Commanders with a final score of 19-10. Here’s what interim Head Coach Darren Rizzi said about his team after the game.
“Listen, when I took this job on my first day I told everybody that we weren’t going to lack passion and we weren’t going to lack fight and we weren’t going to be boring to watch, and I’ve never seen a group fight harder be more passionate, and that was an exciting second half of football,” said Rizzi.
The Saints will head to Lambeau Field next Monday as they take on the Packers December 23rd at 7:15pm. We’ll provide a recap then!
