New Orleans Saints cap off 2025 Mandatory Minicamp

Day two of minicamp is complete for the New Orleans Saints. It was a host Wednesday here at their practice facility, but that didn’t stop the fans from showing up, and the pros from showing out.

First year Saints Head Coach Kellen Moore says he feels that his goals have been reached during OTA’s and minicamps for both sides of the ball and he’s looking forward to training camp.

“Really what your goal is when you’re in our team’s setting, when you’re in training camp moving forward, you like to see the back and forth,” said Kellen Moore. “You like to see the moments the defense plays really well and moments the offense plays well and that tug-of-war throughout the entire day and to see the guys handle all that. The ups and downs and adversity. Somebody is going to make a mistake and then they go make a play. We’re fired up when we go see that sort of stuff. I’m obviously spending a lot of time with the offense kind of making sure that side is taken care of, but you’re still a part of the defense and rooting for those guys and you love when you see those guys make plays.

Offensive key weapons Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave like the energy Coach Moore has already brought to the black and gold, and they hope his winning legacy continues in New Orleans.

“I love it. I love the new coaching staff,” said wide receiver Chris Olave. “They bring great energy. We’ve got the same receiver coach, but everywhere else around the building is new. I love the winning culture they bring coming from Philly, and I’m excited for what’s coming this year.

“I think it was needed. Obviously in this league you want to win, and we haven’t been doing much of that consistently enough at least, so why not,” said runner back Alvin Kamara. “They bring a new, different energy to the team that I’ve been on my whole career obviously, so it’s kind of been the same since I got here. Now a change coming in, it’s different. I kind of have to train my mind that I can’t look at things the way they use to be done. I’ve got to get with this. It’s not hard, but again in two days it’s cool, and we’ll see during camp.”

The Saints training camp start date has not been announced yet, but it’s historically held in late July.
