New Mississippi license plate design

After five years, Mississippians will see a new license plate design on the roads soon.

The State Department of Revenue confirmed these new plates will be issued when residents renew registration this month.

The new design comes after the state held a contest for a redesign, the new plate was designed by Leah Eaton of Starkville.

This design features a white background with a magnolia in the middle.
