New map of Poplarville School Board Districts released

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Pearl River County has released the new districts for the Poplarville School Board.

The creation of these districts comes after the state legislature passed a bill turning the board seats from appointed positions to elected one.

The five new districts are set to take effect July 1.

County leaders are now asking parents to carefully review the map and determine which district they now reside in.
