New GED Collection at Vancleave Public Library
Vancleave Public Library received over $2,000 in grant money for a brand new updated GED collection.
Not only do they have books offered in English and Spanish, but they also offer e-books, DVDs, and print study guides for subjects in math, science, language and more.
Jeanne Damiano, branch manager of Vancleave Public Library, requested the grant money because she saw a lack of resources for those who wanted to better their education. “The fact that the Mississippi Library Commission awarded the grant to the Vancleave Public Library really inspired me, inspired the rest of my staff. I think it inspired the community. I’m happy to know that we’re helping. The job of a library is to provide resources for those who need it,” said Damiano.
The GED collection is available to any library card member of the Jackson-George Regional Library System.
