New Flag for Pascagoula Resident

A brand new Mississippi state flag is now flying again at Robert Coman’s house in Pascagoula.
This comes after vandalism to his home yesterday left his old state flag burned on the ground in the driveway and the words ‘blacks rule’ spray painted beneath it.
Comans tells News 25 he is overwhelmed by the show of support he’s received since yesterday’s incident. The American Legion in Gautier and three other people have shown up on his doorstep to present him with brand new state flags. His driveway has been scrubbed by three other people offering their services for free.
“It feels wonderful, it’s above average,” said Comans, “I didn’t think that I’d ever hear anything else after y’all was here yesterday. I figured it was all over, but they continued coming.”
The spray paint is now barely visible.
