New Exhibits at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum

Tonight the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi unveiled two of their newest exhibits.
The first is ‘Against the Grain’ which will feature an exhibit compiled of the works of three separate artists displaying many of the applications of wood in contemporary art. The second exhibit, “Satire and Storytelling,” takes a look at the themes and experiences of culture in the City of New Orleans.
This afternoon News 25 spoke to one of the artists responsible for the work on display, Keith Duncan of ‘Satire and Storytelling.’ Duncan says you don’t have to appreciate art to enjoy the exhibits, you just have to appreciate life. “You know, we go through weddings, we go through funerals and it’s an emotional event you know, but I like to look at the comedy and the satire in it, just like you would see in popular culture and music.”
‘Satire and Storytelling’ will run through March 18th and ‘Against the Grain’ will be on display until March 11th.
