New driver service scam making the rounds in Mississippi

Scammers are once again impersonating driver service employees here in Mississippi and sending text messages to people.

Department of Public Safety officials say neither the agency nor the Driver Service Bureau will ever send text messages asking for payment or personal information.

If you receive one of these messages, do not click any links. Instead, delete it immediately and report it as spam through your mobile carrier.
