Gulfport, Miss. (WXXV)–Gulfport Police have charged a 24-year-old man with First-Degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing another man at an event Saturday afternoon.
Tyran Gable is also charged with aggravated assault in this shooting, which stemmed from a child custody dispute during a church Easter egg hunt at the sports complex off Prudie Circle.
Police say Gable shot two people who were trying to deescalate the dispute.
One of the victims died at the scene, while the other was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
Gable was also injured in the shooting and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
