New Dean of College of Health Sciences named at William Carey University
William Carey University is announcing a new dean of their College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Alicia Purvis takes over the role. She is a medical professional of wide experience.
Dr. Purvis says she’s most proud of leading the development of WCU’s hybrid nursing program.
In this role, she will oversee the nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, health information management, and health professions programs.
Dr. Purvis has been a nurse for 20 years, also working in emergency rooms and critical care units.
She joined William Carey in an administration position back in 2016 before becoming the dean of nursing in 2019.
