New cookie inspired beer released Chandeleur Island Brewing Company

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company in Gulfport is merging two guilty pleasures: cookies and beer.

Today, the brewing company released an oatmeal raisin cookie brown ale made with caramel malt, cinnamon, raisins, and oats. Chandeleur has been averaging one beer release per month.

News 25 spoke to the Tap Room Manager Katie Duddy who tells us the creative process of creating these beers starts with an idea and is executed through trial and error of different experimental beer batches. “So craft beer is just really fun. There are so many different ways to experiment with the styles and the flavors. There really is not a way to go wrong. You throw fruit in there, you make sours. You can make dessert type beers. There’s a lot of room for experimentation which I think is the most fun part about craft beer.”

Starting tonight at 7 p.m. you can enjoy some live music at the brewery while getting a taste of the latest addition to their craft beer selection.
