New coastal waters to open for shrimping
Starting at 6 a.m. Monday morning, new waters near Biloxi will officially open for commercial and recreational shrimping.
These include areas south and west of Biloxi Bay near Deer Island as well.
Shrimp season will run through December 31st except for waters south of the intracoastal and west of the Gulfport Ship Channel where the season will close on April 30 next year.
