New CBD store opens in Ocean Springs
As interest in CBD products continued to increase, one local CBD store owner thought it was time to expand. A second “Your CBD Store” location has opened up in Ocean Springs.
While Mississippi is one of 17 states still without medical marijuana, they still allow the use of CBD products which, while connected, are incredibly different. Your CBD Store Owner Brittany Bailey said, “You have marijuana and you have hemp. The difference is in marijuana you have high amounts of THC and low amounts of CBD. In hemp you have high amounts of CBD and trace amounts of THC.”
While large amounts of THC can impair users, smaller amounts don’t have much of an effect on users, if any, which is one of the more popular questions that Bailey is asked. “Some people think that if I take too much of it, am I going to be able to drive or operate on a daily basis at my job and I would say absolutely. You can take a product and go to work, just go about your daily routine. It doesn’t have the psycho-active effects.”
Pain relief, anxiety, depression, arthritis: these are just a few of the many ailments that can be reduced by consuming CBD products. “When you start taking products from hemp, it helps produce more of these cannaboids naturally in your body and that is what works to help take out inflammation and release serotonin and do a whole lot of things to your body at once.”
For Bailey it’s good to see opinions change, having dozens of customers who just visit to browse the store or try samples. “It turns into curiosity to ‘oh wow, this is really amazing.’ It’s really fun to see people’s minds change and perceptions change.”
Bailey’s new location on Bienville Boulevard in Ocean Springs is planning a grand opening on Saturday, June 8th and she invites anyone who is interested or has questions about CBD products to come on by.
