New art exhibit opening at MGCCC Jackson County Campus

The MGCCC Jackson County Fines Art Gallery has announced a new exhibit, opening to the public on Tuesday, August 29th.

The exhibit features the works of coastal artist Curtis Jaunsen and will run through September 29th.

For anyone interested in talking to Jaunsen, an artist talk will be held during the opening at 12:30.

As a little background on Jaunsen’s art history, he studied at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy and learned classic painting methods from the Renaissance.

He has paintings hanging in local galleries with some at the Pink Rooster in Ocean Springs and others at the Carol Robinson Gallery in New Orleans.
