New appeals in Jordan execution case

There are new details in the ongoing appeals process of death row inmate Richard Jordan, the man convicted of killing the wife of a Gulfport banker in 1976.

You may recall Richard Jordan’s execution date is set for June 25.

Today, the Mississippi Supreme Court denied Jordan’s request for a rehearing in the matter of delaying the execution until all state and federal remedies have been exhausted. You can read the Supreme Court’s order by clicking here.

The U.S. Supreme Court will consider the petition on June 18th.
