Never Quit Foundation hosts 29th annual Spiders’ Golf Classic

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Thirty-six teams of four came out to Sunkist Golf Club for the 29th annual Spiders’ Charity Golf Classic.

The classic is a family tradition put on by the Never Quit Foundation, whose mission is to prove that no matter what happens, you should never quit!

For 29 years, the charity golf tournament has raised money for recipients in financial need, for the GHS Scholarship Fund, and for all the other wonderful things Spiders’ has been a part of throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast community.

This year, the tournament benefits the very strong Rebecca Craighead. Never Quit Foundation President Christopher Ramage said, “Every year we pick one person that we do all our of due diligence to fork up as much money as we possibly can that we raise for to that person. This year is Rebecca Craighead. Rebecca has orbital meningiomas and all the proceeds for today go to assisting her procedures and the therapy after that.”

Sunkist County Club PGA GM Rory Nelson said, “Golf is at the height of its popularity and it’s fun to see so many people get involved in golf tournaments and we’re happy as a club here that they’ve chosen us at Sunkist country club in Biloxi, Mississippi, heart of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

In just two minutes, the tournament raised $1,347 for Rebecca Craighead!
