NeShondria Ellerby sworn in as Gautier’s first African American municipal judge
It was a historic day at the Gautier Municipal Courtroom on Thursday.
NeShondria Ellerby was sworn in as the city’s new municipal judge, becoming the first African American in Gautier’s history to hold the title.
It became official earlier Thursday afternoon with Mayor Casey Vaughan appointing her the position, which was previously held by Amy St. Pe.
Alongside Ellerby, Kaleigh Clark Nelson was sworn in as the city’s pro temporary judge, her second time in this role.
