NCAA Tournament Regional: Southern Miss vs. Mississippi State

Perks of rolling through the winner’s bracket in the regional round of the NCAA baseball tournament is having two chances to beat the same team once. Today, Southern Miss needed just one win to advance to Super-Regionals whereas Mississippi State needed two.
Golden Eagles and Bulldogs meeting for the second time this year, this time in the Hattiesburg Regional Final. USM won 7-5 back in March.
Mississippi State wins this one 8-1. That sets up a winner-take-all game seven of the Hattiesburg Regional.
