NCAA grants collegiate summer league waiver
The NCAA also tinkering with rules on the baseball front, specifically regarding collegiate summer leagues.
The governing body has granted a waiver, allowing up to eight players from the same program to play on the same summer team.
Previously, schools could only have a max of four players on the same summer team, but that limitation no longer applies to 2020 in the wake of cancelations and long distance travel restrictions due to COVID-19.
This would apply to the first year Deep South Summer Collegiate League minus the fact that rosters for the remainder of the summer have already been set.
