NCAA Baseball: Southern Miss vs. Ole Miss

One week ago today, Southern Miss and Ole Miss needed extra innings to declare a winner up at Trustmark Park. That winner was the Rebels. Tonight, the Rebels made the trip down to Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg, a place they haven’t won at since 2009.
Ever since then, USM has owned the series between the two, winning 11 out of the last 16 match-ups.
Stingy defense and pitching all night for the Rebs, as they shut down the Southern Miss bats in a 6-2 win.
Meanwhile, Mississippi State also gets a win over a Magnolia State opponent, taking down Mississippi Valley State 5-0.
