NCAA Baseball: Mississippi State vs. Nicholls State
Mississippi State Head Baseball Coach Chris Lemonis said, “We try to come back for some of our local kids, and we know – Logan Forsythe was on the bus pointing out his high school as we’re pulling down the highway, so it’s neat. And we’ve got some kids who have never been down here, so for some of our local guys, and hopefully it’ll help us recruit a little bit better down here in the future.”
Mississippi State has always recruited well here on the Gulf Coast, having just produced Major League draft picks like East Central alum Brad Cumbest and George County alum Logan Tanner.
This year, the Bulldogs rostering Logan Forsythe out of D’Iberville as well as Vancleave’s Max Miller and East Central’s Hollis Porter.
In the other dugout, Gulfport alum Cade Crosby and Picayune alum Kade Turnage both playing for Nicholls State.
All that being said, a happy homecoming at Biloxi’s MGM Park at least for one of these two teams.
Diamond Dawgs and Colonels playing in the first leg of the Hancock Whitney Classic, MSU looking for its sixth straight win.
Dawgs win 12-4.
