Mississippi State Head Coach Chris Lemonis said, “Hunter Reed, the Biloxi Shuckers, the City of Biloxi and all of our fans on the Coast, I mean this place was nuts tonight and it was nuts last night, and so it’s the reason we come. It’s special. They treat us like we’re the home team, which we are down here, and it’s just a nice experience for the kids.”

First baseman Hunter Hines said, “Today, I learned that we’re a tough team. They played us a good – we played a good team tonight and they played us close and our arms from the bullpen did really great and we scratched a couple of runs. We didn’t do great hitting wise, but we did enough to get the win.”

Next up, MSU is heading to Kentucky.
