National Weather Service issues flood warnings for Coast rivers

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for rivers along Coastal Mississippi.

NWS said the Jourdan River near the Kiln, Wolf River above Gulfport, Biloxi River near Lyman and Tchoutacabouffa River above D’Iberville are all expected to cause at least minor flooding Friday and Saturday as a result of heavy rains coming in from Francine.

Here are the rivers with the current readings:

Flood stage: 6 feet
Crest forecast: 6 feet

Biloxi River near Lyman
Level: 3.67 feet
Flood stage: 12 feet
Crest forecast: 15.50 feet

Tchoutacabouffa River near D’Iberville
Level: 3.59 feet
Flood stage: 8 feet
Crest forecast: 9 feet

Wolf River above Gulfport
Level: 4.65 feet
Food stage: 8 feet
Crest forecast: 8 feet

Pearl River near Pearl River
Level: 6.23 feet
Flood stage: 14 feet
Crest forecast: 13.1 feet
