National Team quarterbacks shine at Senior Bowl
On Saturday, about 120 NFL hopefuls descended upon South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama for the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl, including three Ole Miss Rebels. Those being defensive lineman Sam Williams, as well as wide receivers Dontario Drummond and Braylon Sanders.
It was the National Team quarterbacks who stole the show, starting with projected first round pick Kenny Pickett out of Pittsburgh, who went 6-6 for 89 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter.
Second in command was Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder, fresh off his appearance in the College Football Playoff, and he picked up right where he left off, going 4-6 for 68 yards and two scores en route to a 20-10 win over the American Team.
South Alabama wide receiver Jalen Tolbert soaking it all in, signing autographs, after catching a pair of passes for 24 yards in his final game in his home stadium.
