National Pancake Day
Pancake lovers can head to IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day today.
The popular restaurant is celebrating the day by offering a free short stack of pancakes to patrons which is three fresh flapjacks. Customers get the free original buttermilk pancakes in exchange for a donation to one of its children’s charities like the Children’s Miracle Network.
The event marks IHOP’s 60th year in business and they aim to raise five million dollars this year. While the IHOP in Gulfport is taking part in this day of giving, they also aim to accomplish something else. IHOP General Manager Mark Wisener said, “Trying to get our business back up, you know, we have had a lot of problems in the past with bad service and things like that, but we are trying to get our business back up and we just want our guests to come back in and give us one more shot and say hey this is the new IHOP in Gulfport. We just want them to come back the way they were and you know come hungry leave happy. That’s our slogan and that’s what my goal for this store is.”
You can stop by the IHOP on Highway 49 in Gulfport until 10 p.m. to get your free stack and do not forget to leave a donation.
