National Lazy Day: Mississippi ranks third in laziness

National Lazy Day

August 10th is National Lazy Day. National Lazy Day gives us permission to sit back, relax, and chill out, but which states do it more?

BetMississippi.com used CDC data to discover America’s laziest states.

According to CDC, federal physical activity guidelines for adults should be 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity and two days of muscle strengthening per week.

Mississippi is ranked third in this data with only 15.7% of residents hitting the guidelines behind Kentucky and Oklahoma. The U.S. average is 23 percent.
